Advice for high altitudes with #InappropriateSinusTachycardia #Dysautonomia
Hi everyone,
I’m dealing with IST and taking Propranolol as needed along with lifestyle changes. I still don’t have a doctor whom I trust or takes the condition seriously so I thought I’d ask some other people advice.
I’ve lived close to sea level my whole life on the west coast from California to Oregon. Recently I made the decision to move to another state. All of the places I want to live are at high altitudes and I’m aware that it can cause some effects on the heart.
I spent a week in Sedona, AZ which is around 4,300’ elevation. I’m currently in Albuquerque, NM which is at 5,312’ elevation. My tachycardia seems to have gotten worse during this time and is less easy to manage.
I’m planning to travel to Santa Fe which is at 7,199’ elevation. Is this too much for my condition? Is it safe if I try increasing steadily or should it be avoided?
Thanks so much! #InappropriateSinusTachycardia #ist #Dysautonomia
