My chronic illness and disability are of the invisible variety. But, what makes this journey even harder for me, is that most of my constant effort, work, and endurance are also invisible to people. Others just can’t see how much work I’m doing daily, or in any given moment, to manage, cope, and somewhat function as a human. For a while now, it can often appear to other people like I’m not doing much of anything. But, in reality, I’m doing so much. It’s like people can only see and perceive half of me.
