I made the cutest little turtle brioche (sweet milk bread) buns this evening! They are matcha, cocoa, and white chocolate flavoured and turned out exactly like the recipe photo which was enormously satisfying. This is the last day of my self-isolation due to contact with a covid positive case and these turtles brought me some joy and purpose today.

The reason there is icing piped onto the top is to hide the slight
Mishap that it collapsed in the middle.
Why I have no idea.

But I did count wrong and put one to many eggs in it.

Reserving my strength for a mammoth cupcakes making session tomo for VE day and a neighbours on Friday.

It is a national Bank holiday on Friday and my little community are having a Social distancing street party of sorts.

To celebrate a birthday and VE day. Victory in Europe 75th anniversary.

How are you today?

As you can see from my pic, this is what I've been baking this week. As few carrot cakes with cream cheese icing; some cheese scones and a fruit loaf done in my bread oven. No I wouldn't have the energy or hands to do all that kneading.🤨🥵

I grated all those carrots and that was enough for a three hour rest on the sofa 🤣😂.

As you can tell I've been using up bananas that were ready to turn. So turned them into a yummy loaf of goodness instead.

Last night was #Clapforcarers in the UK 8:00pm Thursday evening the whole of the UK gets out onto their doorsteps or opens their windows and bangs and claps For our nations carers. It happens every Thursday now.
A very proud emtional moment for ☺️😥 65million people.

So the builders today where I live thought it was a great idea to start work exactly where an electric cable was. Boom no power for 5 hours. No one was hurts. The Power company had to come out and fix it.

So what could I bake without using my electric mixer?! My arthritic hands can't stir or mix without it and but have a gas stove and oven.

Mmmmm so Flapjacks an oaty goodness crunchy yet chewy plain or not. Sweet and yummy.
So chocolate flapjacks with mixed fruit and two mashed up bananas.

Because I live on a Mobile Home Park. I always make loads more than I need, I have three little ones living next to me so I made some plain ones for them too. #MightyMoments . They rest are more for adults so I added a dash of Baileys to it. Just before I popped it in the oven.

I now have cut it up and my neighbours have picked it up and it's been eaten no doubt already.
I do so like being useful while I'm stuck at home. My neighbours are shopping for me, walking my dogs, taking away my rubbish/trash, picking up my post and parcels and checking in on me daily.
This is my way of giving a little bit back. 🎂🍪🍩🍰🧁🥧
