Support those around you who suffer from it, learn about its debilitating effects and seek help.
Too often we are told that depression is a choice. It is not.
It's true, we can choose to think and feel happy, but not during periods of depression. Depression disrupts our normal way of thinking and feeling and is acknowledged as a serious mental health disorder.
Ask your GP for advice if you're able to, or ask family and friends to assist if you cannot do so yourself.
There are many safe ways to conquer depression. Never feel alone.
